Junior Achievement of Kansas programs are for kids in Kindergarten through 12th grade. Numerous programs foster work-readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy. Janice McClelland, owner and president of McClelland Sound teaches a financial literacy class as a Junior Achievement volunteer every year.

Every spring, Junior Achievement honors Business Hall of Fame Laureates¬† for their success in business and their commitment to the local community and the state of Kansas. The annual honors inspire young people to follow in the laureates’ footsteps. Selection criteria includes business excellence, entrepreneurial spirit, community impact, leadership style, local influence, and enduring legacy.

Tom Kice of Kice Industries, Lynn Nichols of Yingling Aviation, and Bob Babst of Metal Finishing Company Inc. share this year’s honors.

This year’s Hall of Fame dinner is on March 10th at the Hyatt Regency Hotel.
