Kansas Star Casino in Mulvane is an all-encompassing entertainment venue with multiple dining and drinking options, large and small performance venues, meeting rooms, an outdoor arena with stables … and we can’t forget to mention the gaming floor, of course. Likewise, the equipment involved is all-encompassing as well. There’s background music on the gaming floor; video distribution throughout the casino; a networked IP video system that distributes forty unique video sources to 130+ displays throughout the facility, a QSC Q-SYS audio processing network, and all control is via Crestron products. Various dining venues include a stage sound system for live music outfitted with JBL speakers, Soundcraft and Midas digital mixing consoles, TVs, and background music. The Event Center has eight rooms with a divisible ballroom equipped with JBL speakers, Shure wireless microphones, and Crestron control for audio and lighting. For ultimate flexibility, the Kansas Star is equipped with portable AV carts with Sharp 80” displays, Shure wireless microphones, Innovox speaker systems, projectors, Da-Lite projector screens, and wireless video with Barco ClickShare presentation gateway. The indoor arena has an installed sound system with Community speakers, QSC processing, a Soundcraft mixer, Shure wireless microphones, and Clear-com wired and wireless production intercom. In addition, a portable production system with DbTechnologies line array and subwoofers, Soundcraft portable digital mixing console, Chauvet lighting fixtures, a portable lighting truss, and ETC control can be used for any other events on the property.
